Laura is a second-generation Irish writer from the North East of England
Her work explores memory, grief, social class, how place and identity intersect, being Irish in Britain, the 90s (💖) and more. Her first book - a memoir, ‘Commonplace’ - is due to be published in Spring 2027.

As well writing narrative non-fiction, essays and short stories, Laura is an interviewer, exhibition and creative workshop facilitator and oral historian.

Commercial Projects
Laura provides copywriting services and communications consultancy for schools, charities, community groups and other organisations which align with her passions.
